Will Holland is a Worcestershire native, but Colombia-based musician, DJ, and record producer.
He records under various guises, namely Quantic, The Quantic Soul Orchestra, and The Limp Twins. The influences on his music are rich and varied and draw upon elements of salsa, bossa nova, soul, funk and jazz - all blended with a modern twist. Holland is a multi-talented musician and performs lead duty on guitars, bass, double bass, piano, organ, saxophone and percussion. Much of his sound is original composition with little in the way of sampling of other artists’ material.
Under Quantic, he has released four LPs (The Fifth Exotic, Apricot Morning, Mishaps Happening and An Announcement To Answer) on the Tru Thoughts label. The Quantic Soul Orchestra have released two LPs (Stampede and Pushin’ On) and have also collaborated on a project with Soul/Funk artist Spanky Wilson to produce the LP I’m Thankful. The Limp Twins have released one LP, Tales From Beyond The Groove. He has also taken on remix duties for almost 30 songs.
Will also has his own label Magnetic Fields enabling him to release his own brand of heavy soul and funk together with releases from other like-minded artists.
His song “Time is the Enemy” was featured in Café del Mar Volume 9.
